SGL Lunch Forum on 3 July 2025
Since its foundation, the Swiss Society for Teacher Education (SGL) has offered a lively discourse space for scientific as well as conceptual questions of teacher professionalisation. In addition to the internationally appreciated journal "Beiträge zur Lehrerinnen- und Lehrerbildung", the 23 working groups are particularly relevant.
During the SGL Lunch Forum, the working groups and the SGL Executive Commitee will provide poster-based insights into the exchange formats and thematic focuses oft he working groups. Framed by a fine dessert selection, all congress participants can find out about the opportunities that SGL currently offers for the professionalization of teacher training, talk to the working group leaders and commitee members, and network. There will also be the opportunity to stimulate new working groups and to explore future thematic priorities.
Discussion Forum: Meet the Editors – Publishing in SZBW
The Swiss Journal of Educational Research serves as a publication platform for researchers working in the field of educational sciences. It also contributes to the development of educational sciences by promoting the exchange of research findings. Its multilingual approach provides a comprehensive overview of key research trends in Switzerland and internationally.
We warmly invite potential authors and readers to the discussion forum "Meet the Editors". During this event, the editorial team will present the journal's content focus and mission. Participants will then have the opportunity to ask questions in a moderated Q&A session and engage in discussions about academic publishing processes.
Potential discussion topics include: the editorial review process (What criteria are applied when evaluating manuscripts? How is quality ensured?), the journal's scientific and ethical guidelines (How are ethical principles considered in the publication process? What editorial policy is adopted regarding generative artificial intelligence?), and the journal's strategic orientation.
We look forward to engaging with you!
